Deep Therapeutics
Deep Therapeutics is a startup concept that seeks to dramatically improve the quality of life for the rapidly-aging population. I hope to create devices that identify the muscular conditions that cause stiffness and loss of function as we age.
Trigger points and myofascial adhesions are extremely common conditions that often go undiscovered. While totally treatable once precisely located, these problems have many chronic effects. Carpal tunnel syndrome, temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction, chronic back pain, knee problems, headaches: the list is long and miserable.
These muscular problems can increase cortisol levels in the body, which can contribute to diabetes and depression. Cortisol also interferes with the production nitric oxide, which is important for sexual and athletic performance.
Some day, we'll all get routine checks for these problems and enjoy many additional years of vitality as a result. Deep Therapeutics hopes to help make that happen. Reductive Labs
A startup providing open-source server automation software. Its primary product is Puppet, a framework with a custom language for configuration specification and an operating system abstraction layer that allows administrators to focus on configurations and relationships rather than implementation details (e.g., you don't have to care about the difference between apt and yum, and your servers will automatically get restarted when their configurations change).
Puppet is one of just a couple of next-generation open-source server automation tools, and it is the only one with full-time commercial backing. Puppet's fundamental advancement is that it abstracts all managed resources in an easily portable way -- it can transparently handle more than 15 types of packages, it supports NetInfo as easily as useradd, and new backends can be added in trivial amounts of code. This allows Puppet agents to be intelligent nodes, providing object-level introspection and management, either centrally or peer to peer.

We employ a “Speed Selling” technique that enables us to put salesmen on the street profitably even though our customers each pay only $250 to $500 per month (total) to access the tools that they choose. We have found success with this approach using a 2 person sales team per territory..
Our Guiding Principles – “Focus and Speed”
The basic premise behind appStart is Focus and Speed. Develop a suite of tools for a target vertical quickly (under 6 months for 7-10 tools). Make sure those tools individually have no competition other than home-grown excel spreadsheets. Employ “Speed Selling” techniques that result in 5-8 new customers per week per sales team.

appCreate - application framework
All of our Tools are developed and delivered as web-applications using a fully integrated web-based custom framework we call appCreate. GTFL seeks to accomplish this through an online community where teens can contribute, share, and receive support. The site also seeks to provide maximum user control and will be driven by the user supplied content and policing.
This project is being created by the in-house designers and developers at Abra Marketing, a 12-person graphic design and web development agency with a focus on web application development.
